Boots UK & Ireland COO Tracey Clements is leaving the British health and beauty retailer and pharmacy chain to join BP as CEO convenience Europe.
BP said the appointment came as it looked to redefine its convenience business through differentiated customer offers and scaling up new mobility solutions, including electrification.
It also continues to develop its own-brand food offering, like Wild Bean Cafe, while expanding partnerships with retailers such as M&S and Rewe To Go.
Before joining Boots, Clements spent 17 years at Tesco. During her time at the UK’s largest supermarket, she held a number of senior positions, including MD for convenience and CEO of its One Stop business for three years, after working as customer strategy and insight director for 14 months.
She also served as both Express store director and leader of the Express central team, and as operations development director and support office director.
“We are delighted Tracey is joining the BP team to play a leading role in helping BP redefine the role it plays in the journeys people make, and in our role in food-on-the move and food for later,” said Alex Jensen, BP CEO for mobility and convenience in Europe and Southern Africa.
