Scheidt & Bachmann moves forward with its Cloud based programme

Announced just this week from Mönchengladbach is news that Scheidt & Bachmann, will now focus its core efforts on innovative system solutions & service, working with its cloud based centrally hosted applications. The company is currently experiencing enormous success in these areas, building on its vast knowledge of data processing and payment solutions and recently agreed a 1000 site project with ExxonMobil in Germany and earlier this year, it also extended its programme with Shell for 1800 site systems, to be installed up to 2021. Strong market growth in these areas, especially in the fuel retailing marketplace, certainly seems to underline the commercial reasons for Scheidt & Bachmann to move forward in this manner.

As part of the same deal and just as exciting, is news that Scheidt & Bachmann’s entire dispenser manufacturing programme will now be assumed by Scheidt & Bachmann TUBS, the leading service provider operating in Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovnia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro and the Ukraine, which has for years manufactured and distributed Scheidt & Bachmann dispensers though a partnership going back to the late 1990’s. As part of the deal, Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH will continue to supply and manufacture the key components of Scheidt & Bachmann petrol pumps i.e. the monoblocks, piston diameters and price-calculators with displays pumps.

Scheidt & Bachmann GmbH will also be the exclusive provider of spare parts for the foreseeable future. Talking directly with Scheidt & Bachmann Managing Director, Jörg Heilingbrunner, he told me that a smooth transition for their customers, some of which have been purchasing pumps from them for over 50 years, is of paramount importance. “The dispenser manufacturing part of this agreement will remain in extremely safe hands, given that TUBS have already been building Scheidt & Bachmann pumps for over 20 years now“, said Jörg. "Our customers will strongly benefit from this new strategy, as we now focus all of our activities on new innovative Cloud based solutions".

Its all positive news for Scheidt & Bachmann, however I'm sure there will be a few tears shed when the last dispenser comes off the German production line, probably sometime later this year.
