Alon launches reduced omissions programme in Texas, US

ALON Brands with GreenPrint LLC, are launching a Reduced Emissions Fuel Program at all of its 7-Eleven stores in Midland and Odessa starting July 15th. The first of its kind sustainability program is now available at more than 100 ALON 7-Eleven gas locations in Texas and New Mexico, and has quadrupled its footprint since the program initially launched in June of last year.

The Program allows drivers to support their community and environment while reducing their tailpipe emissions just by filling up at an ALON 7-Eleven location. Now, for every gallon of fuel purchased in Midland and Odessa as well as Lubbock and Albuquerque, ALON will plant trees locally and invest in certified carbon reduction projects, such as reforestation and alternative energy production, to neutralize each driver's associated carbon emissions by up to 30 percent.

"We are excited to bring this program to our backyard. With how much support the Odessa and Midland communities give us, we are constantly looking for ways to improve our product and give back to them. This program has already allowed us to plant over 5,000 trees in Texas and New Mexico, and we look forward to continue growing that number," said Jonathan Ketchum, senior vice president of retail at ALON Brands. "We couldn't be happier with how much support and love our customers have shown to this programme to date."
