First Shell fuel stations in Latvia to be opened this month

The first Shell fuel retail stations will be opened in Latvia in July, and by the end of the year Shell plans to open a total of ten fuel retail stations in the country, a company’s representative stated.

These ten fuel retail stations will be the only Shell stations in the Baltic states. Shell signed an brand license agreement with Baltic Fuel Retail Partners that was registered in September 2015 and belongs to Cyprus-registered Olmax Invest Limited.

Shell fuel retail stations in Latvia were taken over by Statoil back in 2003 after signing an agreement on purchase of Shell's fuel stations in the Baltic states in October 2002.
