Over 900 fuel stations out of fuel in North Carolina, USA

Hundreds of gas stations across the state of North Carolina have run out of fuel, with some suffering shortages since Saturday, reports WTKR.

State officials informed that as of Thursday evening around 930 gas stations were out of fuel due to the Colonial Pipeline gas leak in Alabama. Many fuel stations in Virginia are also suffering from shortages.

Workers have carried out a 500-foot bypass to solve the 250,000-gallon leak in the Colonial Pipeline, which supplies fuel to much of the Southeast. Regular supply to retailers will still take several days, said the company in a statement.
