ExxonMobil has enabled Samsung Pay in the United States as a payment method in its Speedpass-plus app, according to a press release.
To make a Speedpass-plus purchase with Samsung Pay, consumers link their Samsung Pay account to their Speedpass-plus app and select Samsung Pay as the desired payment method.
From the app, they can purchase fuel across more than 9,600 Exxon and Mobil retail stations in the US that are Speedpass-plus enabled.
"Increasing the mobile payment options allows us to provide our consumers with a faster, more convenient experience at the pump," Rob Wollard, Americas retail fuels marketing manager for ExxonMobil Fuels, Lubricants & Specialties Marketing Co., said in a statement. "We are proud to be the first major fuel retailer to offer Samsung Pay at the pump."
