Major wholesaler opens another fuel station in the UK

Costco are building steadily in the UK with its 9th site opening soon in the UK heartland of Derby.

It has taken almost two years for Costco to get permission to construct the petrol station at its Derby outlet.

Costco already has petrol stations at its sites in Bristol, Chester, Haydock, Liverpool, Manchester, Oldham, Sheffield and Thurrock. It opened its first, in Liverpool, in June 2014.

A date has not yet been set for the opening of the Derby petrol station but it is understood that Costco is aiming to have it open for business by the end of summer.

The new forecourt will have 16 self-service pumps that can be activated only by using a Costco membership card.

Drivers will pay for their fuel at the pumps through unmanned facilities, however, a staff member will be on hand at all times during trading hours.
