Mexico's Hidrosina opens its first 100% solar-powered gas station

The chain of gas stations Hidrosina converted its first service station in Mexico to 100% solar, in partnership with Bright.

In a statement, the installed system, in addition to generating clean energy for self-consumption, will provide energy savings of approximately 20% of the bimonthly consumption. The gas group reported that this amounts to 174 tons of recycled waste in carbon dioxide emissions or planting a thousand trees.

The project will provide the service station with 100% of its electricity consumption through solar energy, made possible by a cogeneration system between the business and the Federal Electricity Commission.
