Applegreen launches new and improved fuel 'fuelgood'

Petrol station retailer Applegreen has launched a new and improved fuel, expected to improve customers' cars, for the same price. 'Fuelgood' will take motorists further, the company said, while offering savings of up to 4c per litre at no extra cost.

The company claims the new product will clean your engine so it can perform better while reducing harmful emissions, making it better for the environment. The rollout of the unleaded petrol and diesel fuel as standard has begun and is due to be available in all Applegreen forecourts nationwide by the end of 2018.

Speaking at the launch of fuelgood, Joe Barrett, Applegreen Chief Operations Officer said: "At Applegreen we really are committed to giving our customers the very best of everything, at the very best price, always. "We have been fuelling Irish motorists for over 25 years and are delighted to be continuing to deliver on our promise with the launch of fuelgood. "Fuelgood is our most advanced fuel ever and will save our customers up to 4c a litre; this means more kilometres per litre, equalling more savings.

"It cleans your engine so it can perform better and reduces harmful emissions meaning it’s better for the environment." The fuel is tested in Germany in a leading lab that specialises in examining fuel products. Applegreen stated that "absolutely nothing" is wrong with its original fuel, it is "just making improvements". It adds on its website: "The fuel is the same, just with a new additive to deliver an enhanced product.

As a proud Irish brand, Applegreen strives to constantly improve our offering to our customers in Ireland and deliver on our low fuel prices, always, promise." Applegreen, established in 1992, has over 184 service stations in Ireland and employs around 2,500 people here.
