The State Legal Metrology wing took up surprise inspections on fuel filling stations across the State and booked cases against 10 of them, seven for under filling of the fuel and three of them for not taking renewal of their licenses.
The inspections were taken up across 70 fuel filling stations following complaints from the citizens about short delivery of fuel, adulteration, tampering of meters. A a case was registered against a petrol bunk at Ramanthapur for dispensing 300 ml less for five litres of diesel purchased.
