MAES Energy & Mobility acquires all Octa+ petrol stations in Belgium

There has been a transaction within the energy supply domain in Belgium. The 156 petrol stations operating under the name of Octa+ have been acquired by MAES Energy & Mobility, which thus increases the number of service stations it operates in the country from 125 to 280.

The company had already acquired around 40 Esso service stations in 2013, and more recently 19 stations from Desimpel Energy Group. It is thus building its position and is now third in size in Belgium after Total and Q8.

The objective of Octa+ is to expand its activities in energy and electro-mobility services: green electricity, natural gas and fuel oil. It has a mobility start-up under the name of Modalizy which offers a multi-modal card.
