McLean Events, organisers of the international business meeting forum erpec and OpenRoom Events, operators of the worldwide series of industry B to B events, PetroForum, will be working together on several aspects of a new event for Europe, scheduled for Spring 2019 in Sitges Spain
Launched a few months ago by OpenRoom, PetroForum Europe takes place on 13-14th May next year and will bring together oil companies and retailers alongside key industry suppliers of retail forecourt equipment and retail solutions for 2 days of meetings, seminars and informal business networking]
McLean Events has for the last 20 years successfully gathered the European retailing industry together every two years through its meetings concept erpec, which in turn has led to establishing key international industry publications, erpecnews, ENTV and erpecnewslive.com
Specifically, McLean Events will be working with the MOC’s and major fuel retailers in all European countries to help promote PetroForum Europe to senior figures involved in retail operations. For PetroForum Europe this will also include working alongside retail operations having a particular focus on the forecourt shop aspects of the business
Managing Director of McLean Events, Nick Needs commented, “We have been involved in the launch of many industry events over the years, including most recently idac, our international conference and the industry’s new international trade fair, UNITI expo. After many years of organising erpec in Europe, I feel the time is right for a new initiative to take its place which focuses more significantly on the market’s growing independent sector and we are looking forward to bringing our experience to bear on this exciting new development”
Fiona Horan, Director of Open Room Events said, “erpec has delivered an amazing industry platform for the industry since 1997 and we feel working with Nick and his team to harness all the goodwill that erpec has built up over the years is without doubt in the best interests of everyone connected to the launch of our new PetroForum event in Europe. We look forward to welcoming many past delegates PetroForum Europe and meeting them in person to in Sitges next May"
Following this announcement and in the interests of creating a clear path to PetroForum Europe next May, the next idac conference will now be staged in November 2019 and not this year as currently scheduled.
