USA: Kum & Go renews commercial fuel-card contract with Wex

Kum & Go has renewed its contract with Wex to manage its commercial fuel-card program. Wex oversees the private-label and universal fleet cards for Kum & Go. Under the renewed contract, the two will continue to partner on growing sales and marketing resources to help drive Kum & Go’s retail growth. "Our partnership with Wex brings together a compelling mix of strengths from both organisations," said Sam Herro, retail fuel senior manager for Kum & Go.

"At Kum & Go, we are on a mission to make days better for our guests by providing more convenience, service and surprises. Combined with Wex's superior customer service, program flexibility and payment innovation, the partnership helps our organisation continue to provide a unique offering that is true to our brand."

With its renewed partnership with Kum & Go, Wex now operates the customer fueling-card programs for the 10 largest c-store brands by market share, according to the company. It has signed 10-year contracts with several of these in the past 18 months. Wex also said it oversees the customer fueling-card programs for most of the largest fuel brands in the United States.

"Our partners know they can rely on Wex technology, service and people to deliver consistent sales growth that strengthens customer brand loyalty," said Jay Collins, senior vice president for Wex. "Kum & Go's renewal shows that the industry continues to recognize Wex as a trusted leader in delivering brand-centric commercial card programs."

Wex Inc., South Portland, Maine, provides payment processing and business solutions for the fleet, travel and healthcare sectors in more than 10 countries. Kum & Go LC, West Des Moines, Iowa, owns and operates more than 400 stores in 11 states. In 2018, it ranked No. 19 in CSP’s Top 202 ranking of c-stores by number of company-owned retail outlets.
