Dover Fueling Solutions will be showcasing its complete EMV solution at NACS PEI from October 8-10 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
EMV is the global standard created by EuroPay, Mastercard and Visa that secures card transactions by authenticating debit or credit cards, verifying the cardholder and authorizing the transaction.
The major benefit of EMV technology is the reduction in fraud. Instances of such fraud continue to increase at pay-at-the pump on dispensing units which do not have the upgraded security.
However, on October 1, 2020, the liability of these fraudulent activities will transfer from the credit card companies to fuel merchants. DFS is encouraging retailers to act with urgency to upgrade their equipment now to alleviate foreseen issues with industry technician shortages as the deadline approaches.
DFS Vice President and General Manager of North America, Halden Zimmermann (above) noted, “We want our customers to understand the importance of becoming EMV compliant as soon as possible. The longer they wait, the more likely they are to run into issues with industry technician availability to complete the installs. At DFS, we have a variety of solutions to bring refueling sites into EMV compliance available now.”

Other services and solutions demonstrated will be iSense™ remote monitoring powered by DFS and wetstock and fuel management including the ClearView™ solution, Fairbanks, ProGauge and OPW Fuel Management Systems.
The booth will also bring together the sister Dover Companies of Hillphoenix, Anthony and Unified Brands, which will showcase how the groups are working together to provide a complete end-to-end solution to the fuel retailing forecourt.
