The all-electric LDV EV80 made its public debut at the Commercial Vehicle show in Birmingham UK this week. The EV80 is the first Chinese production-ready light-duty van to run on pure battery power and is expected to be officially launched towards the end of the year. The zero-emissions vehicle is available in two models, a panel van, both short and long wheel base versions and chassis cab that can be fitted with a range of customer-specific bodies. The rated load capacity ranges from 900 – 1,250kgs. The EV80 has one of the world’s highest technical specifications for a commercial vehicle in its class. With a driving range of more than 190 miles and a battery capacity of up to 75kwh, this new electric vehicle is said to offer a greater range and shorter charging time than any of its nearest rivals on the market today.
