ICWG acquires H20 and Wild blue car wash sites in Colorado

The International Car Wash Group (ICWG) has announced the expansion of its Colorado presence with the acquisition of four carwash sites in the Metro Denver and Colorado Springs areas, according to a press release.

ICWG is purchasing three sites — two in Colorado Springs and one in Aurora — from Wild Blue Car Wash, and it is also acquiring a single site in Highlands Ranch from H2O Car Wash, the release continued.

All four properties will be re-branded as Car Wash USA Express, one of three sub-brands owned and operated by ICWG, the release noted. With these acquisitions, Car Wash USA’s presence will reach 15 locations in the state of Colorado, and a 16th site is currently beginning construction in Brighton, the release added.

In keeping with ICWG’s deep commitment to employee retention, all employees from the purchased properties are being invited to stay in their current roles, the release stated.

“These acquisitions were attractive to us because they are very well run and successful businesses,” said Jeff Maize, senior vice president of acquisitions, ICWG. “They are also strategic to our growth in Colorado and will help us scale our business here to new heights.”

“We were drawn to ICWG because they made it easy to structure a deal that works well for both of us,” said David Begin, managing partner, Wild Blue Car Wash. “We were also impressed by their track record for integrating companies and employees into their family of brands.”

“We knew from the outset that ICWG was really fair to deal with, and that made them the right choice for us to sell to,” added Hayden Shamburger, managing partner, H2O Car Wash.

ICWG’s international headquarters since 2018, Colorado has consistently been ranked as one of the healthiest state economies in the country, with steady growth and employment, the release added.

The company’s current expansion here reflects its emphasis on meeting the needs of car-owning consumers by providing them with convenient access to top-quality service and the newest innovations in car care, the release stated.

“We’re committed to serving the U.S. market and providing customers in Colorado, and across the country, with the most satisfying car wash experience,” added Tom Mangas, CEO, ICWG. “To us that means staying focused on ways we can continuously improve and evolve the carwash, from hassle-free service to improved products for maintaining and protecting cars.”
