Uber Eats partners with Galp for home delivery of c-store products

Uber Eats and energy company Galp have partnered to facilitate access to products available at Galp convenience stores.

The users of the home delivery platform in 15 cities in 8 provinces (Badajoz, Barcelona, Cádiz, Córdoba, Balearic Islands, Madrid, Malaga and Valencia), will find in their app the option to make a home delivery purchase at the nearest Galp store.

Through this collaboration, both companies are responding to the growing need to provide citizens with basic shopping products, such as food, beverages, hygiene and household products.

Orders can be made directly from the Uber Eats app. There is also a number that the platform has put in place to help people without access to smartphone or Internet.

Furthermore, to make the service more accessible and easy when shopping from home, there will be no shipping costs, and no minimum purchase value.

The two companies have increased precautions and security measures throughout the process of product handling, collection, transfer and delivery of the order at home. In addition, the Uber Eats App allows users to select a "leave at the door" option to maintain social distance.
