Rick Long announced as new Executive Vice President for PEI

Rick will replace Bob Renkes, the current executive vice president and general counsel, who will retire from PEI on May 31, 2017, after 38 years with the association.

“PEI is fortunate to be able to maintain continuity in only the second leadership transition in the association’s 65-year history. We are pleased that Rick Long will be taking over as executive vice president and general counsel when Bob Renkes leaves PEI," said Steve Trabilsy, president of PEI.

Rick has served as PEI’s general manager since 2009. He also is editor-in-chief of the PEI Journal and associate general counsel of the association. Prior to joining PEI, he practiced corporate law and founded a strategic communications firm that provided customized marketing, management and technical resources to market-leading corporations, associations and small businesses.

I’m deeply honored to follow Howard Upton and Bob Renkes as the third executive vice president and general counsel in PEI’s exceptional history,” Long said. PEI is composed of more than 1,600 companies engaged in manufacturing and distributing equipment used in the fuel and fluid handling industry. Members are located in 50 states and 81 countries.
