Saudi Arabia to build 230 petrol stations

Petromin Corporation of Saudi Arabia is planning to invest nearly 2.5 billion riyals ($666 million) to build 230 petrol stations over the next few years.

The project will run until 2020 and is intended to cater for the rising domestic demand for petrol and lubricants and create jobs.

"We have allocated 2.5 billion riyals for the project. Twenty of those stations are currently underway and will be ready before the end of the year," said Petromin’s CEO Samir Nowar.

The stations will be constructed in various parts of Saudi Arabia and operated by Petromin.
