PTT Cambodia Limited, which currently operates 25 fuel stations in the country, has disclosed its plans to set up 70 more within five years.The expansion plans of the local subsidiary of Thai oil giant PTT is part of the group’s strategy to meet the increasing demand and market integration in the Southeast Asian region. The conglomerate has already added 150 fuel stations in the Philippines and set up more outlets in Myanmar and Laos, according to Bin Many Mialia, deputy managing director of PTT (Cam- bodia). PTT Cambodia also aims to attract more customers by putting up fuel stations that offer diversified services such as coffee shop, restaurant, car wash, and rest rooms. It is also looking into placing the stations, equipped with latest technology and complying safety standards, on main thorough- fares. PTT Cambodia accounts for 7% of the estimated 2 million tons of oil and gas the country imports from Vietnam, Singapore, and Thailand every year.
