Orlen Deutschland GmbH, part of the Orlen Multi-Energy Group, currently operates 600 filling stations under the Orlen and star brands. A rebranding is currently taking place, with the aim of operating around 100 stations in Germany under the Orlen brand by the beginning of 2024.
Orlen ranks sixth among Germany's largest petrol station operators and covers around six percent of the market. Around 41 percent are familiar with this brand, according to a recent survey of 1,100 participants.
In addition to quality fuels, the filling stations managed by the ORLEN Group also offer a wide range of non-fuel products: from fleet cards to additional services such as resource-saving car washes and the company's own smartphone app "tankstar", which can be used to make contactless, digital and convenient payments at the more than 600 Orlen and star petrol stations.
Germany is one of the selected markets in which the infrastructure for electric vehicles is to be greatly expanded by the parent company. Already at the end of 2022, Orlen Germany embarked on an ambitious path to accelerate the e-mobility sector and the transition to more environmentally friendly fuel alternatives, especially in this country.
The first phase of the project involves an investment of around 100 million euros. The goal is to install more than 100 HPC (High Power Charging) e-charging points in Germany by the end of 2024.
