bp upgrading in US with Amaco brand

bp is working on changing all TravelCenters of America forecourts east of the Rocky Mountains to the bp or Amoco brand, with plans for rebranding 50 locations by the end of 2024.

The company most recently upgraded a location in Georgia with a fresh Amoco canopy. bp has converted 15 sites so far.

“Exciting News! OurTravelCenters of America site in Georgia just got a major upgrade with a fresh Amoco canopy! We've converted 15 sites, with plans for 50 more by year-end. Soon, all TA sites within our East of Rockies footprint will rock the bp or Amoco brand!”, bp said in a LinkedIn post.

bp acquired TA in May for $1.3 billion, adding more than 280 travel centres and almost doubling bp’s global convenience gross margin.

bp reintroduced its Amoco retail fuel brand in the United States in 2017 to help boost retail fuel sales nationwide. There are approximately 675 Amoco gas stations in the United States, according to the bp website.
