Thailand-based PTT Oil and Retail Business has ventured into the health and beauty sector in partnership with Japan’s Sugi Holdings Co., Inside Retail reported.
PTT Oil is the largest fuel retailer in the Thailand, with approximately eight million loyalty members. PTT Oil brands include Café Amazon and the convenience retail business operating under the Jiffy brand.
As part of the collaboration, PTT Oil will leverage its loyalty program and physical footprint, while Sugi will provide its health and beauty products, as well as knowledge and technology.
“Thailand is home to Southeast Asia’s second-largest health and beauty market, valued at 350 billion baht (USD $9.7 billion) as of 2022, with growing consumers who are keen to take better care of themselves,” said Disathat Panyarachun, CEO of PTT Oil and Retail Business.
