Germany committed to HVO to reduce CO2 emissions

Germany has approved the use of this new diesel substitute fuel that is compatible with current engines, reducing CO2 emissions between 70 and 90% compared to the fuel it replaces.

Last week the German Parliament approved the sale of biofuel called HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil) at gas stations throughout Germany, in order to contribute significantly to the reduction of pollutants emitted into the atmosphere.

This product is obtained from vegetable oils and fats , usually using slaughterhouse waste, algae or used cooking fats for its production, which once purified by hydrogen are converted into paraffin.
