The United Arab Emirates’ major oil company ADNOC launched a pilot project introducing a robotic fueling arm pilot, as part of its plans to provide an ai-driven experience to customers.
With the help of sensors and cameras, the robotic arm extends towards the vehicle, opens the fuel tank cap and aligns the nozzle to fill the car up.
The robotic arm uses computer vision technology and is designed to be fast and environmentally friendly, as it manages spills, according to the UAE’s oil giant.
This technology, which was demonstrated at ADNOC’S Al Reem Island petrol station, is set to be used in support of existing staff, to boost productivity and reduce wait times.
