Woqod to open new service centres in Qatar

Qatar Fuel Company (Woqod) has announced plans to set up standalone full car maintenance service facilities at its fuelling stations. The project, which is set to start by the end of 2016, will be a joint venture with major automobile manufacturers. The service centres, each costing around QR 50 million (USD 13m), will be built in the Doha area to make them more accessible and convenient to owners of leading car brands, such as Ford, GMC, Nissan, Toyota, and Mercedes. The specific locations, however, have not been disclosed yet and the design of the facilities is still being developed. One thing’s for sure is that the service centres will carry the name of Woqod as well as the name of the car company.

“We are working to further tightening agreements with more car dealers. Japanese car dealers such as Toyota, Nissan and others are more aggressive for establishing such centres”, said CEO of Woqod Ibrahim Jaham Al Kuwari.
