Tokheim, part of Dover Fueling Solutions (“DFS”) and one of the largest suppliers of fuel retailing solutions, is pleased to announce that its facility, Tokheim Netherlands B.V. in Bladel, Netherlands, has been awarded renewal of the MasterCard® Terminal Quality Management (“TQM”) Statement of Compliance for the Tokheim Crypto VGA™ Outdoor Payment Terminal (OPT).
The TQM scheme was created by MasterCard to ensure that the functionality of chip terminals, as certified during type approval testing by EMVCo, can be sustained throughout a manufacturing cycle. TQM is a mandatory requirement to participate in a MasterCard Terminal Integration Process (“TIP”) certification, which in turn, is required to certify the payment terminal with an acquirer.
An external audit of the Tokheim Crypto VGA OPT’s production and development processes was successfully completed in October 2017, leading to the renewed certification that will remain valid until November 10, 2018. The accreditation extends to the Tokheim Crypto VGA OPT units built at another of the company’s European manufacturing sites, Grentheville, based in France.
The Crypto VGA is a secure transaction solution with the latest Payment Card Industry (“PCI”) approvals and sophisticated anti-fraud capabilities. At the beginning of last year, Tokheim announced that the Tokheim Crypto VGA was the world’s first outdoor payment system to be awarded with the most recent PCI PTS 5.x security. With more than 25,000 terminals installed across the world running hundreds of millions of transactions every year, Tokheim’s Crypto VGA advanced outdoor payment system, with its revolutionary touchscreen and intuitive onscreen graphics, is making payments faster and easier.
