A radioactive material that was stolen in November from Weatherford, a U.S. oilfield services company operating in Iraq, has been found near a fuel station in the southern town of Zubair. The chief of the security panel for the Basra provincial council Jabbar al-Said assured that the material was found intact and there we no concerns about radiation. Its retrieval also ended fears that the material might have ended up on the hands of ISIS and used as a weapon. According to a USA Today report “the State Department said that the radiography camera contained a BB-sized pellet of radioactive Iridium.”
