Neste Corporation illustrate move away from oil

Neste Oil will be changing the name of its service station networks in Finland, the Baltic countries and Russia to ‘Neste’. In June 2015 Neste changed its company name from Neste Oil to Neste Corporation in an effort to illustrate the switch from oil to renewable fuels, because products based on renewable raw materials have become an increasingly important part of the business.

Antti Tiitola, Executive Vice President of Oil Retail Business Area at Neste, said recently, "Reaching the name change for our station chain reflects the important position of the station network in the company's customer experience. By operating under a single name, we are all parts of a single company, building a single brand".

The process to change the names of stations will begin in April and will be completed in October. At the end of 2015, Neste had 790 stations in Finland and 258 stations in north-western Russia in the St. Petersburg region, and in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
