BMW has unveiled an innovative expansion of its in-car digital services, enabling customers across Europe to pay for fuel, parking, and now hydrogen refueling directly from their vehicles.
This new feature is currently available for BMW models equipped with Operating System 8, 8.5, and 9, with plans to extend the functionality to vehicles with Operating System 7 in the coming weeks.
Hydrogen Payments Introduced for BMW iX5 Hydrogen
In a significant development for hydrogen-powered vehicles, BMW has integrated hydrogen refueling payments into its in-car system. Owners of the BMW iX5 Hydrogen, part of the BMW Group's hydrogen pilot fleet, can now use this feature to pay for hydrogen refueling at H2 MOBILITY Deutschland stations across Germany.
This move underscores BMW's commitment to advancing fuel technology and providing convenient solutions for its customers.
