Circle K joins forces with Dutch toilet concept

The Danish division of Circle K is joining forces with the Dutch One Hundred Restrooms. Together, they want to introduce the concept of 'well-being toilets' to the local market.

The idea of wellbeing toilets, beautifully decorated spaces in which it is pleasant to relax instead of the traditionally dingy petrol station toilets, has already been introduced in Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain, and now Denmark also has to go for the axe.

With a partnership with One Hundred Restrooms, Circle K is the first mobility brand to introduce the idea of smart and progressive toilet solutions to that market as well.

"At Circle K, we are committed to providing our customers with a great break on the go," said Jacob Pedersen, Director of Market Development at Circle K. "That's why we're investing in upgrading some of our toilets to improve the customer experience. In addition, we also provide a lounge area and a quality food offer. As customers spend more time at our stations, especially due to our growing EV infrastructure, we strive to make every stop a pleasant and relaxing break."

Interactive mirrors

One Hundred Restrooms is a Dutch toilet brand that focuses on hygiene, health and comfort. It has now introduced its approach to Køge, one of the largest busy stations on the south side of Copenhagen. The facilities at the petrol station will include features such as interactive mirrors, showers and a health check, as well as well-designed, clean toilet infrastructure.

"We are excited to take our partnership with Circle K to the next level by expanding to Denmark, following our success in the Netherlands and Sweden," says Bram Gleichman, co-founder and CCO of One Hundred Restrooms. "The collaboration with Denmark's number one convenience brand reinforces the strength of our brand. We look forward to seeing how Danish customers react to this new experience,"
