Hanex group to be acquired by Circle K

Circle K has announced that it will acquire fifteen gas stations from Hanex Hospitality B.V. located in the south of the Netherlands.

"Today's announcement builds on Circle K's continued investments, including in the Dutch market," said Nathalie Baras, Vice President of Circle K in the Netherlands. "

The investments include the expansion of the network with new locations, the upgrade and development of existing petrol stations that will be equipped with the shop, drinks, food and car wash concepts developed by Circle K, as well as investments in electric charging.

This acquisition is an important part of Circle K's growth strategy and will further strengthen our network of service stations."

It concerns thirteen Shell stations, one Esso station and one TotalEnergies station. This brings Circle K's network in the Netherlands to 389 locations. The approximately 140 employees who work at the locations in question will be transferred to Circle K.

Under which brand name the newly acquired places will continue is something the company is still looking at.
