With the acquisition of the VARO subsidiary VARO Energy Direct Retail GmbH with 16 filling stations, CLASSIC is expanding its network of filling stations in northern Germany and the Lower Rhine regions.
As part of the acquisition, all 57 employees of VARO Energy Direct Retail will also move to CLASSIC. The same applies to the wide range of products and to existing contracts. The acquisition on January 1, 2025 is subject to approval by the antitrust authorities.
"We are very pleased about this important step in our company's development. By integrating the 16 locations into our petrol station network, we can offer our customers our service quality at other locations," says CLASSIC Managing Director Dirk Greife commenting on the takeover, referring to the two awards "Best Petrol Station Shop" and "Best Petrol Station Bistro" in this year's customer survey conducted by the German Society for Consumer Studies (DtGV).
With this acquisition, CLASSIC is not only strengthening its position in the German petrol station market. At the same time, VARO Energy and CLASSIC are expanding their strategic cooperation in the field of supply and renewable fuels.
