Achim Bothe. CEO Aral AG announced today, in the presence of North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister of the Environment and Transport, Oliver Krischer, and the Mayor of Mönchengladbach, Felix Heinrichs, that ARAL has inaugurated the first pure charging park in Germany.
It is, says Achim, the largest Aral pulse system of its kind in Germany to date, combined with a great convenience offern, being another innovation in Aral's 100th anniversary year!
The charging park for electric vehicles is located in Mönchengladbach's Nordpark industrial park and includes 14 ultra-fast charging stations with an output of up to 400 kilowatts. Each charging station offers two charging points, which means a total of 28 charging bays for electric cars.
On the premises of the charging park there is a smart store under the REWE To Go brand, which was realized together with Lekkerland SE. In the unmanned shop, charging park users, residents and other customers can shop around the clock. Customers can expect a modern lounge area with indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and free Wi-Fi.
"We now operate over 3,000 charging points at more than 400 locations, making us one of the largest fast-charging providers in Germany and wanting to be the first choice for our customers", said Achiim. "Just recently, we were once again named Germany's best fast-charging provider by Connect. We have also been an e-Charge partner of the ADAC since the beginning of August".
