Malaysian company, Five Petroleum has announced plans to establish a network of filling stations in Uzbekistan, according to a report from the press service of Uzbekneftegaz.
Five Petroleum, established in 2020, currently operates over 110 petrol stations in Malaysia and the company also holds a majority stake (60%) in BHPetrol, which operates more than 400 petrol stations across the country.
The expansion into Uzbekistan marks a significant step in the company's regional growth plans. The initiative aims to introduce modern technologies and international standards to improve both product quality and service in the country’s fuel sector.
The Chairman of Uzbekneftegaz, Bakhodirjon Sidikov, met with the CEO of Five Petroleum to discuss the details of this potential venture. The talks also included the creation of transport and logistics infrastructure across various regions of Uzbekistan, a move that will support the development of the planned gas station network.
