Petroprix expands into in Latin America

In Panama, the first station of the Spanish group Petroprix was inaugurated. The Spanish company specializes in automatic gas stations and began operations in Panama with the opening of its first station in Panamanian territory. This is the first step in its expansion in Latin America, which also includes plans in Chile.

The new station has six pumps and offers petrol and diesel. Although the company is developing an unattended model, it is not yet in operations under this modality. In Spain, it works by offering lower prices by eliminating traditional operating costs.

In addition, the stations are equipped with proprietary technology developed by Petroprix, including license plate recognition and the Panapass system to automatically identify vehicles.

Through its mobile application, drivers could locate the nearest station, check prices, view their consumption history, download invoices and access special promotions.

Petroprix already has more stations under construction in Panama and expects to have seven stations in operation before the end of 2025. At the same time, it is getting ready to open its first station in Chile in August of this year.

The company highlighted that it chose Panama and Chile because of its strategic location in Central and South America, which will facilitate its regional expansion. Petroprix, which currently operates more than 150 stations in Spain, expects to reach a turnover of 1,000 million dollars by 2025.
