Montenegrin oil products distributor Jugopetrol said it opened a tender for the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) panels on the rooftops of seven of its fuel stations.
Interested bidders can send their letters of interest by 1400 local time on August 8, Jugopetrol [MNG:JGPK] said in a tender notice published earlier this week.
Jugopetrol announced its plans to launch the project earlier this year, aiming to cut electricity costs. Last year, it installed solar panels at five fuel stations - four in Podgorica and one in the Adriatic resort of Budva, which are already in operation.
The company is the main fuel retailer in Montenegro with a network of 46 retail fuel stations across the country. It controls a petroleum installation of 110,100 cubic metres with 20 fuel storage reservoirs in the Adriatic town of Bar.
Austria-based Helleniq Energy International GmbH, part of Greece's Helleniq Energy, is Jugopetrol's largest shareholder with a 54.35% stake. The remainder belongs to a number of minority shareholders.
