Shell Netherlands and Van Kessel are entering into a strategic partnership. According to Mobility Energy the companies say the partnership will strengthen services to business customers in the Netherlands and accelerate the energy transition to net zero emissions.
This initiative is based on an integrated approach, bringing together expertise, infrastructure and customer solutions. Based on this shared vision, Shell and Van Kessel will cooperate in three concrete areas: fuel supplies to businesses, fuel and charge card solutions and expansion and optimisation of the network of refuelling and charging locations.
In particular, the two companies see the business use of fuels with lower CO2 and methane emissions as a growth market. This mainly involves (bio-)LNG and renewable diesel (HVO100 / Shell Renewable Diesel).
Further electrification, whether or not supplemented by hydrogen as an energy carrier, is also an important key point in the cooperation plans.
