Uni Energy seeks to purchase eight Zara petrol stations and the Zara oil base in the central town Stara Zagora, the Commission on Protection of Competition (CPC) said in a statement on Monday.
The proposed deal will influence the markets of fuel storage, wholesale and retail. Third parties have seven days to comment.
In October, Uni Energy received approval from the CPC to acquire NIS Petrol Bulgaria, which operates under the Gazprom brand.
Zara, founded in 1994, specialises in the wholesale trade of energy and petroleum products, storage and processing of energy products in tax warehouses and warehouses for wartime supplies, among others, according to company information.
Sofia-based Uni Energy, founded in 2007, is active in the trade of solid and liquid fuels, petroleum products, lubricants and oils, as well as construction, operation and management of petrol stations, among others, commercial register data shows.
