Mobil Oil New Zealand is set to challenge the self-service petrol market as it launches Mobil Express, a new model aimed at customers needing more flexibility and convenience.
The fuel company will convert 14 current Mobil sites to the new self-service station model, with further conversions planned in 2026. Mobil says the stations will offer the same range of fuels, with competitive pricing. It plans to convert other stations to the brand next year.
Rival Z Energy converted 25 Z and Caltex sites to unstaffed self-service U-GO petrol stations earlier this year - a change its parent company Ampol has also been making in Australia.
