Galp opens first Santagloria cafeteria in Madrid

Galp and Santagloria inaugurated their partnership today, in Madrid, where first store of the cafeteria chain opened in a service station. The partnership reinforces Galp's cafeteria and pastry offer in Spain with a high-quality proposal, allowing Santagloria to enter spaces where customers are looking for speed and quality during their travels.

With a focus on a "store in store" format, operated exclusively by Galp teams, the project consists, in a first phase, of the execution of pilots in various areas of the country. The first store, located at Galp's service station on Rua Marqués de la Valdavia, offers high-quality coffee, signature pastries and small meals ideal for breakfast, snacks or breaks.

With 720 stores in Iberia and a network of more than 1200 stations, Galp has been investing in the repositioning of its fuel stations with the creation of a food, beverage and snacking offer that today represents more than 200 million euros in annual sales in its own network.

"The partnership with Santagloria is another step in the transformation of our stores and service stations, a path of continuous innovation and investment that allows Galp to have a prominent position in this segment in Spain and Portugal", says Rute Gonçalves, Director of Brand, Marketing and Convenience at Galp.

Santagloria is the fastest growing coffee & bakery chain in the Spanish market, having recently opened its 200th store and maintaining an average rate of 40 annual openings.
