A five year partnership has been agreed upon by Puma Energy and Buks Haulage (BHL) Group, a company that specialises in the transportation of Puma Energy’s fuel from Walvis Bay to Solwezi and other key hubs in Zambia.
Puma Energy stated BHL will also utilise the return leg for the shipment of copper exports, which optimizes regional transport. “The collaboration strengthens the Zambia-Namibia trade corridor, a critical artery for regional trade and economic connectivity. With this expanded fuel supply route, Puma Energy and BHL Group will bolster supply security for industrial, mining and retail customers in Zambia, while contributing to enhance cross border trade efficiency.”
Chief Executive of BHL Group, Buks Jansen van Rensburg said they specialize in providing reliable logistical solutions that drive industrial growth. “Our partnership with Puma Energy is a natural extension of this vision, leveraging our logistical capabilities for both copper and fuel transport across southern Africa.”
Head of Africa at Puma Energy, Ben Ouattara said this partnership is a vital step forward in ensuring secure, safe and reliable supplies for mining and retail customers in Zambia. “The expanded fuel transport routes will not only strengthen our operational resilience but also reinforce the Zambia-Namibia trade corridor, an essential driver of regional economic growth.”
