French retailer Carrefour has entered into exclusive negotiations with Paval Holding for the sale of its business in Romania.
The move is part of a strategic review of the business initiated by Carrefour at the beginning of 2025.
The transaction is based on an enterprise value of €823 million, the retail giant said in a statement.
The deal is subject to customary regulatory authorisations and is expected to close in the second half of 2026.
