Sunoco acquires 48 retail, fuel sites from Capitol

Sunoco Retail LLC has acquired 48 gas stations and convenience stores from Capitol Petroleum Group LLC.

The facilities were in the greater New York area and branded Shell, Exxon, Mobil and Citgo. The sale included a mixture of convenience-store and gas station sites that operated under the commission operator, dealer tank wagon and supply-only dealer class of trade, PetroCapRE said.

Capital Petroleum Group and its affiliated companies were established in 1997 by Eyob “Joe” Mamo, its CEO. Capital Petroleum Group still has 35 more Shell-branded locations in the New York metro area, and hundreds more in the Washington, D.C. metro area, PetroCapRE told CSP.
