Galp launches Portugal’s first 480 kW charger

Galp has established a new ultrafast charginghub at Calçada de Carriche, one of the main road access routes to Lisbon, introducing Portugal’s first 480 kW charger.

The site, designed to support growing EVadoption, allows up to four vehicles to charge simultaneously at high power, complemented by an additional 120 kW unit serving two more cars.”

“The installation delivers a total capacity of 600 kW and aims to reduce waiting times while improving hashtag#chargingefficiency on a corridor used daily by tens of thousands of drivers. The hub connects key routes between Campo Grande, Odivelas and major highways including the A8, CRIL and IC22.”

“The project involved converting an existing Galp service station, removing traditional fuel pumps to prioritize emobility infrastructure. The site integrates convenience retail, café services and car care, alongside weather protection, enhanced lighting, CCTV systems and an integrated payment terminal.”
