St1 is expanding its liquefied biogas (LBG) network for heavy-duty transport to Liperi and Imatra, in Finland. The new LBG refueling points will strengthen the availability of biogas on key transport routes in Eastern Finland and support the transition towards lower-emission heavy-duty transport.
Previously, St1 have opened LBG refueling points in Hämeenlinna (Iittala), Mäntsälä, Salo (Halikko), Hirvaskangas, Vantaa (Voutila), Iisalmi and Liminka. Its network in Finland now includes nine LBG points, and aims to open even more by the end of 2026.
St1's goal is to have approximately 20 LBG refueling points in Finland by the end of 2028, and more than 50 LBG points across the Nordic network, ensuring smooth service for heavy-duty transport also across borders.
