Premier Forecourts & Construction, a forecourt contractor based in the UK, has been acquired by Portuguese fuel equipment supplier Petrotec. The acquisition has been completed through Petroassist UK, Petrotec Group’s subsidiary providing engineering, support and maintenance services in the UK.
The acquisition and integration of Premier Forecourts & Construction is projected to take the expanded UK operation's annual turnover to £38 million, with a workforce exceeding 200 specialist employees.
According to Petrotec, the acquisition will deliver capabilities including civil engineering, electrical installation and end-to-end- project management into its portfolio, while enabling Petroassist UK to “take on larger and more complex contracts and act as a single integrated supplier”.
Petrotec Group CEO Nuno Cabral said that the acquisition was an important step in the group’s strategy of international expansion and consolidation.
He continued: "For more than 40 years, the multinational has successfully projected its engineering, technology and industrial capability on a global scale. This operation in the United Kingdom – one of the most demanding, regulated and competitive markets in Europe – is proof that the company continues to strengthen its position as one of the global benchmarks in integrated solutions for energy refuelling and charging."
Petroassist UK Managing Director Bruno Teixeira said the deal reflected the group‘s strategy of strengthening its UK market presence and expanding its platform of mobility support services.
