Zuber Issa’s EG On The Move has agreed a deal to acquire 85 petrol forecourts previously owned by collapsed oil company Prax Group, as the billionaire rapidly expands his fledgling venture.
EG On The Move is planning further investment following its purchase of the Prax sites, which are managed by independent operators, according to a statement.
“We look forward to working alongside each operator to build on the strengths of their businesses, helping make every site more effective, more competitive and even more attractive to customers,” Issa said.
The purchase extends a run of dealmaking by the billionaire co-founder of petrol station giant EG Group since founding his new venture in 2023.
EG On The Move now controls about 285 forecourts across the UK after acquiring dozens of sites from EG Group and 98 from Applegreen.
