Top Line Business Development Corp. has entered into a partnership with motorcycle ride-hailing platform Angkas, a move that gives the listed fuel distributor access to roughly one-third of Cebu’s motorcycle taxi market while strengthening its retail fuel business.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange on Tuesday, Top Line said its retail fuel subsidiary, Light Fuels Corporation, signed an agreement with Angkas to provide exclusive fuel discounts and other benefits to the platform’s partner riders in Cebu.
The partnership covers Angkas’ share of Cebu’s motorcycle taxi market, where the Motorcycle Taxi Technical Working Group has set a 9,000-rider allocation across the country’s three accredited motorcycle taxi operators. Top Line estimates the partnership could generate up to 42,000 liters of liquid fuel sales per day while increasing customer traffic across its retail fuel network.
