Stop Cafe opened its first automated self-service store of this type near Prague's Braník Railway Station. Stop Cafe is a long-term successful concept for the sale of non-fuel services of the Orlen petrol station network, which is available at 363 petrol stations out of a total of 446 stations of the brand in the Czech Republic.
Coffee, snacks and quick shopping have become a natural part of the daily journeys of customers on the go and those who live or work near a gas station. Orlen is now using the same philosophy outside the service station environment.
"We have built a strong and well-known Stop Cafe brand at our petrol stations, which customers associate with quality refreshments and a wide range of complementary products. And because sales in this segment have been growing for a long time and our revenues from the non-fuel segment have already matched revenues from fuel sales, we now want to use this potential outside of petrol stations.
We are already successfully developing this concept in Germany and we will be happy if we are successful with it in the Czech Republic as well," says Agnieszka Bobrukiewicz, Member of the Board of Directors of the Orlen Unipetrol Group, responsible for retail in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Austria, and Executive Director for the Non-Fuel Segment at the ORLEN Group.
He adds: "This ambition is fully in line with the Orlen Group's strategy, in which the fast food and everyday shopping segment is one of the key pillars of growth. Our goal is to continue to increase the profitability and performance of the non-fuel segment through innovation, digital solutions, attractive snack offerings and additional goods and services focused on customer needs."
